Abstract The collection includes personal letters, memoirs, and documents related to Christopher Henze and his uncle Carlo Henze. Christopher Henze served as a member of the Peace Corps in Côte d'Ivoire, before embarking on a lengthy career in the United States Foreign Service. An Austrian immigrant, Carlo Henze served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a member of the top-secret Alsos Mission in Europe. Abstract

The collection includes video recordings of oral history interviews and panel discussions that took place during the World War II Symposium, “Focus on a Generation: Pomona College and the WWII Years” over Alumni Weekend on April 27th and 28th, 2001. The collected video recordings feature Pomona College alumni discussing civilian life, including life on campus, as well as military and other experiences during the war years.
